Noted leadership expert and author, John
Maxwell once said, “People never care how much you
know, until they know how much you care.”
At TAG, we care about our
clients’ success. But equally important, we care
about those around us who are often struggling
with less-fortunate circumstances.
Together with national sponsors
and local vendors, we have not only met major needs
in people’s lives, but we have also been able to
answer their special wishes. Our program, led by
Community Relations Director Denea Hudman, is
focused on three areas: Summer Activities, Christmas
and Emergency.

Here are just a few of the things
that we have been able to accomplish:
-
We are the title sponsor of the Micah Johnson
Memorial Golf tournament which funds summer
activities for underprivileged students. Without
the funding from this program, these children
would not know the joy of summer camp and summer
fun that many of us take for granted.
-
At Christmas time, we work with local agencies
and our national partners to not only fulfill
basic needs during the holidays, but to satisfy
the special wishes of each family. In 2007, we
helped a homeless family realize their dream of
home ownership … by far the most significant
result of our holiday program to-date.
-
We also react to critical needs when emergencies
arise. When possible, we work with local
agencies to provide utilities, medication, and
groceries. When hurricane Katrina decimated the
Southern coast, we provided food and clothing
donations to one of the shelters in East Texas.
